Support SafeMinds: How Your Company Can Help
• Adopt SafeMinds as your company's "Charity of the Year" for all in house fundraising.
• If your company offers a workplace giving program like United Way, ask if you can talk about SafeMinds and promote it as the charity of choice among your colleagues.
• Sponsor a corporate event for SafeMinds - this could be as large as a golf tournament or a simple as a jeans day where people who want to wear jeans bring in a donation for SafeMinds.
• Ask if your company will include stories about SafeMinds and/or autism in their in-house magazine or newsletter.
• If your company provides a product or service that would help SafeMinds, ask if they would donate it! From silent auction items to printing services . . . it all helps families dealing with autism.
• Does your company match individual gifts? Ask your human resources if they have a matching program and if SafeMinds qualifies. Many companies match donations 2:1!
• Sponsor a brown bag luncheon. Ask employees to bring their lunch one day a month and donate the amount of money they would have spent had they gone out. Eat together - educate them about autism and SafeMinds.
• Does your corporation have a foundation that gives grants? Many do. If they do, let SafeMinds know, we will prepare the grant application, and you can simply provide a cover letter letting your company know why SafeMinds and autism are important to you.
• Many companies give donations in honor of their customers at holiday time through their Christmas Card program.
• Have a company bake sale with the profits going to SafeMinds.
• See if your company is interested in giving a percentage of proceeds for a particular product to SafeMinds.
